OUR STORY

Dave and LaVerne's Modern Diner & Bar opened it's doors in January of 2025.

Our name is a tribute to our President and co-founder, Darin Amies parents.  Who were raised in an era where entertaining and hospitality were a large part of the culture.  To highlight this, our decor is a combination of classic 1950's diner, mid-century modern, and industrial design.

Dave and Laverne's culinary concept is that of quality scratch cooking, while providing value on each plate.  Featuring typical offerings from your beloved classic diner, but elevated using modern techniques and attention to detail.  We pride ourselves on delivering the apporachable classic comfort foods you would expect, but providign them at a standard above.

Dave and Laverne's is owned and operated by True Hospitality - one of Winnipeg's fastest growing independent restaurant groups.  we also happily own and operate Junction 59 Roadhouse and Jame Avenue Pumphouse.  We are pleased to operate Cibo Waterfront Cafe and Bistro 330.  We have been the franchisee of Shark Club Winnipeg since 2013.
